Chanrelle Tutoring

Dedicated to helping you
learn- your way!

Who We Are

Here at Chanrelle Tutoring, my goals are simple: provide high-quality, helpful services to assist you or your child with their educational needs, to aid the learning process and help you discover new knowledge as well as fulfill your goals, and three, to not only help your student ace their courses or exams, but to help cultivate a deep love and passion for learning within. In fact, these goals are why Chanrelle Tutoring is named Chanrelle Tutoring!

This company was named after someone I care about; an individual who prides himself greatly on making an effort to learn more about the world, himself, and others, every day, as I hope my students will!

Although passing classes and tests are very important, my philosophy is that authentic learning and hard work are the most important of all. Tests and making A's may take up your primary focus, but overall, it is much more valuable to truly learn and develop the critical skills you need to succeed at life than to simply spend all your time studying just for a test. Although I am able & willing to help you study for and improve your test skills, my overall tutoring mindset is not to teach to the test; instead, it is to help you develop the critical thinking, reading, and writing skills that go into successful test taking, and succeeding at other endeavors in your life.

As you may have noticed, my tutoring services are homeschool friendly; I have homeschooled most of my life, and I have particular experience working with homeschooled students! If you are not homeschooled, that's perfectly fine too; I have worked with students who have attended both homeschools, private, and public schools. If you are struggling academically, no matter your background, I am willing to help! If you are interested in my services, please use the contact form at the top of the site; I will get back with you as soon as I am able.

--NOTE TO STUDENTS--: You will most likely find that although I can be very friendly, I can also be a demanding tutor. I don't ask much, but what I do ask for, and expect, is a willingness to work hard, to attempt to stretch your limits and to learn, and an agreement that you will try to do your best, whatever YOUR best is. I may not expect you to grasp every concept; we are all human and we all have difficulties, but I do expect you to be willing to learn and make a sincere effort to succeed in some way. I will help you with your work, and I will help you to learn, but I will NOT do your work for you. The responsibility to do that is on you, though I am delighted to share my knowledge and help you brainstorm and develop your ideas. I only ask that you are willing to do your best, bring your effort to learn to the table, and I will do my best to help you achieve your goals, whatever they are. I simply ask that you respect our time together; I don't desire to waste yours, so please do not waste mine. If you are willing to work hard and try, you will most likely find that I can be very fun to work with!

About the Tutor

Hello there; my name is Kayla Kimbrell, though I often prefer to go by Kira. I am currently a Senior in High School residing in the DFW area of Texas.

I've provided tutoring services in-person and homework assistance via the internet on a part-time basis since 2014. Although I also love science, my primary focus in tutoring is providing assistance with English Language, Literature, Grammar & Composition, Essay Writing, Creative Writing, reading skills, and basic Computer Studies. I am also able to provide assistance with AP Literature & AP English Language homework and test prep; I achieved passing scores on both of those exams, and I am willing to work with you to help you with your exam preparation or coursework.

I also participated in speech and Youth Leadership activities for three years, and placed First in a speech competition as well as ranking in the Top Three in two others. I have experience writing and delivering speeches, as well as assisting in providing critique on the speeches of others. If you are currently taking speech courses or engaged in speech activities, I am also able to help you work on the writing and delivery portions of your speech, as well as coach you in critical speech delivery methods to help make your arguments more persuasive and presentable.

I have worked with both children and adults of a variety of ages, and I am interested in continuing to work with a range of ages to help you overcome your educational obstacles. As well as my experience with diverse ages, I also possess the ability to assist both Public, Private, and homeschool-educated students. I will certainly work with students from a variety of educational backgrounds, though I have particular experience and interest in the homeschool community, having been homeschooled myself. I also am willing to work with Neurodiverse & otherwise disabled students, and I will do my best to accommodate and adapt to differences in learning styles, abilities, and personal hardships. I also have a particular interest in working with Autistics, as I am Autistic myself.
